Journal Title Change Announcement

The Journal Office is pleased to inform our authors, reviewers, and readers that the Bhutan Sorig Journal has been renamed the Journal of Traditional Medicine and Sowa Rigpa, effective from the May 2026 issue.

This change reflects our commitment to broadening the scope of the journal to publish high-quality research on all forms of traditional medicine from around the world while continuing to promote scholarship in Sowa Rigpa. The new title better represents the journal’s expanded vision and its role as a repository of knowledge on traditional medicine globally.

All articles published in the Bhutan Sorig Journal will remain permanently archived and accessible through the Bhutan Sorig Journal website. From July 2026 onwards, all new manuscript submissions will be processed through the Journal of Traditional Medicine and Sowa Rigpa website. Manuscripts currently under editorial processing in the Bhutan Sorig Journal submission system will continue to be handled through the existing system until a final editorial decision has been made.

To ensure continuity and recognition, the statement “Formerly published as Bhutan Sorig Journal” will appear on all issues and publications of the Journal of Traditional Medicine and Sowa Rigpa until 2029.
